Abstract

Sweetgrass can be found in very narrow bands of a few 100 feet along the coast from the Outer Banks of North Carolina, through the Southeast States into the Gulf of Mexico States all the way to the southern tip of Texas (Fig. 14.1). Distribution information was extracted from herbaria, and it is expected that sweetgrass continues south through the coast of Mexico.
