Abstract

In spite of which individual is responsible for actually cleaning and initiating the sterilization of your surgical instruments (and depending on the habits of the ASC, this might be the scrub just finishing a case or a designated individual with a specialized function) everyone associated with the operating room is part of the infection control team and is responsible for maintaining the integrity of sterile procedures.
