Abstract
The end of World War II saw the birth and growth of several international political organizations to forge international and regional cooperation in solving international political, economic, social, cultural and humanitarian problems. While international organizations like the United Nations have member states from all over the world, regional political organizations like the European Union (EU) and South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) are aimed at achieving regional cooperation among its members. In recent years, international political organizations have occupied an important position to forge common links with countries that share similar values and interests.
