Abstract

The practical aspects of data transmission and communications are discussed in this chapter. Specifically, the multimedia communications include different types of communications networks and their properties, the concepts of Internet, IP addressing in the frame of IPv4 and IPv6 protocols, and transport and higher level protocols. As a special practical aspect of modern presentations, some concepts of web design based on HTML are described. Finally, the content of this book has been summarized within the HTML-based multimedia presentation.
