Abstract
This chapter reviews literature examining what influences judges’ decision making, and specifically how much influence custody reports have on this decision making. This chapter also introduces hypotheses of a randomly controlled trial of family court judges’ evaluation of custody evaluations based on the Egregious/Promotive Factors Model, or an unspecified constructs model.
