Abstract

The ankle can easily and efficiently be evaluated by musculoskeletal ultrasound. This joint has its own challenges because of the amount of anatomy in a small space and the need to finely manipulate the probe because of the circuitous route of the tendons as they traverse the ankle and foot. This chapter demonstrates how to evaluate the ankle in various positions to access all of the structures.
