Abstract

In Brazil public policies related to the insertion of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) in education started since the 1980s. In 1997 it was created the National Program of Information Technology in Education (PROINFO) that aimed to install computer labs in public schools. In 2007 Brazilian government created a new policy for the inclusion of ICT in Education, the program One Computer per Student (PROUCA) whose purpose is to provide laptops for students and teachers of schools linked to the program. To ensure the operation of this project, it was offered a training course for teachers to prepare them for the use of this new mobile media that enables a ubiquitous and decentralized learning. In this article it has presented some aspects related to teacher training for PROUCA in the state of Sergipe in Brazil.
