Abstract
Most of the Universe is missing. It’s not just the form of dark energy and dark matter that’s unknown; the present whereabouts of half of the ‘normal’ matter in the Universe remains something of a mystery. Recently, however, astronomers have discovered hints of the presence of a cosmic web – and it seems that this web is where the missing matter resides. The key to this discovery has been the ultraviolet telescope.
