Intercostal Nerve Blocks

Intercostal nerve blocks (INB) are relatively simple to perform and can provide excellent analgesia or anesthesia to the human torso. They provide relatively well-defined anatomical coverage, making them both an excellent diagnostic tool and a reliable therapeutic procedure. In addition, they are among the simplest of peripheral nerve blocks performed with a relatively low incidence of complications.
