Abstract

The procedure for prolapse and hemorrhoids is commonly called “stapled hemorrhoidectomy.” While the operation is, indeed, used for internal hemorrhoids, it is also used for minor degrees of internal rectal prolapse. This chapter details the technique and pitfalls associated with this operation.
