Abstract
Of course, the nervous system is much more than the brain only. Consider the complexity of the peripheral nervous system, with motor, sensory, and autonomic nerves. Taken together, the human nervous system offers abundant opportunity for pleasure and joy, but also for malfunction causing paralysis, pain, and tears. In this chapter, I will discuss diagnostic insights into some of these maladies, beginning with the seemingly universal symptom of headache.
