Abstract
Ultrasound-guided regional anesthesia (UGRA) is an emerging subspecialty of regional anesthesia. The use of ultrasound (US) to visualize the needle, nerve, and spread of local anesthetic has energized the community and increased the popularity of regional anesthesia techniques. During the normal conduct of UGRA, the anesthesiologist will frequently be confronted with aberrant and atypical anatomy.
