Statistical Tools for Measuring Agreement

Abstract

In Chapter 2, we discussed agreement statistics for continuous data in terms of absolute and relative indices. For categorical data, the agreement statistics presented here are quite different for random and fixed target values due to traditional practice over a long period of time. Therefore, the organization of this chapter is different from that of Chapter 2. In Section 3.1, we will discuss cases in which the target values are random. In Section 3.2, we will discuss cases in which the target values are fixed, which are rather simple and straightforward.
