Abstract
The role of patellofemoral (PF) osteotomies in the treatment of PF disorders continues to evolve. The current goal for osteotomies used with PF cartilage restoration is to optimize the contact area and decrease PF forces when possible. By definition, this decreased force with increased contact area results in decreased PF stress.
