Abstract
Applied child psychology has evolved to a state where a variety of specific therapeutic techniques are available for a long list of behavior disorders of children. The development of effective treatment techniques has brought great hope to the parents of children with behavior disorders and has given more confidence to therapists responsible for treating these children. Child therapists can now choose from an array of behavior procedures of demonstrated effectiveness. In many respects, then, clinical child psychology has taken a great step toward maturity.
