Abstract

The potential formulation of the electromagnetic field equations is very useful and has many important applications. The particular applications of interest to us are in the description of the quasi-static electric and magnetic fields. It should be noted that in this formulation we are concerned with the field equations and Poynting’s theorem only, and not in the equations that involve force and momentum.
