Abstract
As the example session of the previous chapter illustrates, a modification to one part of a program may introduce an error in some other part of the program and simultaneously correct an error in yet a third part. Detecting violations of language constraints may thus require a widespread analysis of the object being edited. This section gives a brief introduction to the analysis method that is employed in the Synthesizer Generator.
