Abstract
In this chapter, the data concerning the linguistic practice of the 14 subjects will be presented. Linguistic practice is defined here as those speech sequences constituting buildups, breakdowns, completions, substitutions, or exact reproductions (imitation or repetition). Sound play was excluded from these analyses. Only sequences involving words and word combinations were considered. Analyses based on group data will be presented first. This presentation will be followed by a discussion of the patterns exhibited by the individual children.
