Abstract
Since the Catalogue of Radial Velocities of Galaxies (CRVG) (Palumbo et al. 1983) was published, an increasing number of redshifts are published every year. To provide a comprehensive list of data to the astronomical community which so well received the first edition of the CRVG, we have undertaken the task of updating the catalogue with the aim of publishing a new edition in early 1989 complete with all redshifts that have appeared in the literature up to the end of 1987. What follows is a concise description of the present state of development of the project.
