Abstract
The purpose of this paper is to determine the age of two Small Magellanic Cloud (SMC) clusters, L 113 and NGC 411, not only by fitting the main sequence turnoff, but by using at the same time all of the characteristic features of their colour-magnitude diagrams (C-M), and comparing the experimental and the theoretical luminosity functions. Our analysis is based on the photometrical data (B — R) and R already published by Da Costa and Mould (1986) for NGC 411 and by Mould et al. (1984) for L 113. Previous dating of L 113 (Da Costa et al. 1984) and NGC 411 (Da Costa and Mould 1986) indicates that they are both intermediate age clusters.
