Abstract

To appreciate the success achieved at surgery or the resumption of 20/20 vision in the patient, you must have a working knowledge of pathology. The ability to fix presumes that you have an idea of how it works and what has happened to “break” it. Most residents do not appreciate the pathology laboratory until they have left their residency and usually try to take a comprehensive review course at some point in their career.
