Mandibular Pseudoarthrosis and Non-Unions

  • Chapter
Craniomaxillofacial Fractures

Abstract

The principles of fixation and treatment that have been adopted by the AO/ASIF Maxillofacial Group are firmly based in the orthopedic principles of the AO/ASIF as defined by Müller, Allgöwer, Perren, Schneider, and Willenegger. Therefore it is appropriate when discussing the management of non-unions to review the orthopedic principles concerning their treatment.
