Abstract

Experimental and analytical techniques are employed in the present study to investigate the influence of microstructure rearrangements on tensile properties of woven glass fiber reinforced composite. One-dimensional constitutive model is proposed which contains a variable reflecting the influence of microdamages on macroscopic behaviour. This variable is estimated by the use of stereological methods and its relation to acoustic emission signature is enlighted.
