Abstract

In this lecture we assess the pros and cons of two, post-Harrier, thrust-vectoring methodologies: Internal Thrust Vectoring (ITV) vs. External Thrust Vectoring (ETV). In trying to select the best technology, one must compare the technical methodologies, systems and conclusions of this lecture, with the general methodologies presented in the Introduction. However, this selection is not essential for the industry of future fighters, for ETV may be regarded only as a cost-effective tool for investigating RaNPAS-PST, high AoA performance.
