Abstract

The passage of time does not resolve myofascial pain, although the response to bupivacaine injection is immediate and complete. Myofascial trigger-point injection is the simplest, safest, and most frequent anesthetic block. This type of field anesthesia does not require great expertise and gives gratifying results in a wide variety of common pains.
