Abstract

It is important that patients and their families receive as complete an orientation as they can appreciate to the procedures and purposes of video-fluoroscopy. Such education will help to achieve cooperation and lessen any anxiety surrounding the procedure. The extent of the orientation will, of course, depend upon the age, intellectual capabilities, and emotional status of the patient and accompanying adult.
