Mitral Valve Replacement in Children under 16 Years of Age: Experience with the Bjork-Shiley Prosthesis
Mitral valve replacement is indicated in every case with severe mitral valve disease in which the conservative treatment is not able to maintain the clinical status of the patient . In this paper, we analyzed the long-term follow-up of mitral valve replacement in children with rheumatic mitral disease using the Bjork—Shiley prosthesis.
