Abstract

There are now some very fine sources on inequalities, of which one of the comprehensive treatments is Marshall and Olkin (1979), which contains a very extensive bibliography. The more recent paper by Eaton (1982) lists some of the recent literature. It is the intent of this chapter to be somewhat selective in presenting fewer results but with more complete and accessible arguments than will be found in other sources.
