Abstract
Anthrax occurs naturally in herbivorous animals feeding on infected pastures in the dryer parts of the world. Carnivorous animals acquire the infection indirectly by eating infected carcasses of sheep, goats, cows, or even horses, while the disease spreads to humans from contaminated animal products, such as hides, wool or bone meal.
