Abstract
The process of fertilization and embryo transfer can be accomplished in different ways: in vivo fertilization of spontaneously ovulated oocytes or in vivo fertilization of superovulated females followed by embryo retrieval from the tube or the uterine cavity. Subsequently, those embryos can be transferred to some other recipient(s) whose reproductive cycles have been synchronized with the donors cycle. These procedures have been used extensively in veterinary medicine.
