Abstract
Citibank, the second largest commercial bank in the world, is the principal asset of Citicorp, a worldwide financial services company. Citicorp’s recognition of the relationship between the quality of its employee relations policies and the progress toward its corporate goals is contained in the five principles known as the Citibank/Citicorp approach. Two of these principles are especially relevant to an employee counseling program: first, to make certain that ideas, concerns, and problems are identified and that two-way communication is effectively maintained; second, to remember always that respect for human dignity is fundamental to our success.
