Abstract
After training reduced blood lactate concentration at a given subniaximal work load is a common finding (2, 3, 11). A more prolonged training period results in a lower blood lactate also at the same relative work load (2, 3, 14). The problem to be focused on in this paper is therefore how the accumulation of the muscle lactate concentration and the depletion of the ATP and CP stores during submaximal exercise were influenced by training. Further, as morphological studies of these subjects skeletal muscles were performed too (9) the relationship between biochemical and morphological changes were analyzed.
