Tidal Power

Abstract

Tidal power plants are characterized by the influence of the tidal cycle dictated by the astronomical forces controlling the tides. The output, entirely predictable many years in advance, follows the lunar cycle and hence gradually moves out of and then back into phase with the solar cycle. The solar cycle shapes the energy requirements of the community.
