Reaction Schemes and Coordinates

Abstract

A purpose of the present conference is to develop lines of communication between workers in the three fields of heterogeneous, homogeneous, and enzyme catalysis. Another is to seek ways in which workers in the three fields can draw upon the work of each other to establish common chemistry. Another concern must be the ways in which the intervention of a solid surface alters the resulting chemistry. Finally, we must seek out the kinds of work which need to be done to accomplish these objectives. The purpose of the present brief communication is to suggest two approaches to these problems.
