Abstract
Except in the case of trivial malfunction, it is virtually impossible to intelligently troubleshoot a recorder without paying strict attention to the manufacturer’s manual. This chapter will only mention a few common difficulties and their probable causes. Any serious work should proceed according to the steps outlined in most instrument manuals.
