Abstract
The varying affinity of 67-Ga for different tissues results in a nonuniform distribution in the body. This distribution yields a photoscan showing greater activity over certain organs such as bones and liver, than in the rest of the body. In addition, normal changes in the metabolic activity of these organs can produce further alterations in the scan appearance. Because of these many variables, accurate interpretation of the 67-Ga study requires familiarity with the wide range of normal scan patterns.
