Abstract
This is intended as a brief introduction to the comparative aspects of animal and plant behavior with a view as to how plants as aneural systems may contribute to or expand our understanding of neurobiology. This is not intended as a comprehensive review of the subject, as I have taken only selected examples from a vast, though separate, literature on plants and animals, and have referred to review papers or books as summary references where applicable.
