Abstract
We have reported the presence of an androgen binding protein (ABP) in the cytosols of testis and epididymis of several mammalian species (1). ABP in cytosol preparations has been shown to have a sedimentation coefficient of 4.6 S, an isoelectric point of 4.5–5.2, a Stokes radius of 43 (rabbit) and 47 Å (rat), and a frictional ratio of 1.6, indicating a molecular weight of about 70,000 and 90,000 respectively.
