Abstract
The antitumor effect of Corynebacterium parvum, first demonstrated by Halpern et al. (1966) and Woodruff and Boak (1966), has led to the development of a major research effort into the use of bacterial products of corynebacteria as immunostimulants and antitumor agents (Halpern et al., 1964; Smith and Woodruff, 1968; Paslin et al., 1974; Proctor et al., 1973; Adlam et al.,1972; Likhite and Halpern, 1973; Milas et al., 1974; Wilkinson et al., 1973).
