Abstract

The empirical work on market structure, conduct and performance in the U.S. has been surveyed by Weiss (1971). To our knowledge no survey of similar work in Europe is available to date, possibly because all studies in the area are recent while scholars are few. This is an attempt to fill the gap with no pretention to covering the entire field. In fact, we want to focus on concentration.
