As noted in Chapter 2, the Georgia Economic Model can be treated as a multiplier model to trace the effects of changes in demand on economic activity in the state. After explaining the multiplier concept in simple graphic terms and outlining the mathematics of the multiplier system, this chapter presents employment, household-income, and government-income multipliers for Georgia and explores the contributions of Georgia industries to income and output.
