Abstract
Previous beam-foil investigations of nitrogen in the VUV region (l–4a) have been performed using a wavelength resolution of about 2Å. We have employed a resolution of 0. 7Å to obtain the first lifetime measurements for certain transitions in nitrogen. We present here some results for N II.
