Abstract
Since a high incidence of hypomagnesemia has been found in our kidney stone-forming adults and children (9, 10), urinary magnesium (Mg) excretion in hypomagnesemic patients was compared with that of healthy subjects and normomagnesemic stone-formers in order to identify the role of urinary Mg-wasting in the development of Mg deficiency in our patients.
