Abstract
In the foregoing chapters we have discussed at length how to define a summary measure of income inequality for an element of the regional welfare profile. The focus has been on the theoretical definition of an inequality measure and the differences in weights that are implied by the various indicators. We also examined the best way to specify a density function of income.
