Urinary Purines in a Patient with a Severely Defective T Cell Immunity and a Purine Nucleoside Phosphorylase Deficiency
Recently a case of purine nucleoside phosphorylase (NP) deficiency was diagnosed in our clinic, which motivated us to start new studies in the immunological and enzymological field. We also decided to study quantitatively the patient’s purine excretions, reflecting the effect of NP deficiency on overall purine metabolism. The results of this work are given in the present paper.
