Abstract
The determination of retinal positions with afterimages is less exact than investigation with the help of objective images, to be described in the next chapters. It is indispensable in many circumstances, however, and is very useful for an overview, especially in the form given by Helmholtz. I borrow from the latter researcher to set up an experiment proving Listing’s Law in the following way.
