Abstract

The use of sinusoidal voltage and current perturbations for the study of electrode processes has expanded rapidly over the last two decades. A complete review of this topic is well beyond the scope of this book. Fortunately, a number of excellent reviews have been published(1–4) and these provide in-depth supplements to the material presented here. The principal aim of the present chapter is to extend the methods employed in Chapters 3–6 to the analysis of systems that are subjected to a sinusoidal potential perturbation function. The emphasis is placed upon the theoretical development of the subject, although reference is made to appropriate experimental work from time to time.
