A conversation theoretic approach to social systems

  • Chapter
Sociocybernetics

Abstract

There is a deplorable tendency in contemporary thinking to trivialise the content of deep and fascinating areas of knowledge.

The views expressed in this paper are based upon research supported by SSRC Research Programme HR 2708/2: Learning Styles, Educational Strategies, and Representations of Knowledge: Methods and Applications, by Grant AFOSR 78–3520: (Engineering Design) through the European Office, Grant DAERO 76 G 069: (Principles of Decision) through the European Office, and carried out at System Research Ltd.
