Abstract

GABA-transaminase (GABA-T) can be localized histochemically in the CNS using the technique described by Van Gelder (1965) and adaptations thereof (Hyde and Robinson, 1976). Recently, this technique has been improved so that GABA-T can be localized at both light and electron microscopic levels in the same tissue preparations, and increased resolution of enzyme sites is achieved (Hyde and Robinson, 1976a).
