Abstract
Gray scale echography has much to offer in planning the correct surgical approach to an abdominal mass. This is particularly so in children where in addition to seeking the origins and extent of solid tumours or the differentiation of cysts from hydronephrosis, there are problems in sorting out anatomical anomalies.
